We are really looking forward to welcoming you to the 11th Brighton Yoga Festival this Saturday.
We thought we’d let you know a few things in advance…
Arriving
Please make sure you bring your ticket QR code with you as this will speed up registration where you will receive a wristband. Make sure you collect your wristband or you won’t get entry to the classes.
Morning and all-day tickets registration opens at 9.30am so please arrive promptly if you would like to attend one of the first classes at 10am.
From 9.30am – 10am you can browse the retail area and enjoy Sam Chara singing in the Main Hall. The Café will be open so you can grab a cuppa and plan your day.
Afternoon tickets you can arrive early to get your wristband, but you won’t gain entry to classes till 1.30pm.
Make sure you arrive to the festival at least 20mins before the first class you wish to attend so you can register and find the class in time.
Festival Classes
All the classes are included with your ticket but can’t be booked in advance, once you arrive show your wristband to enter the class. As with all festivals some classes will be very popular so if there is a class you really wish to attend please arrive early. Once the class is full we can’t let anyone else in. If this happens to you, don’t fret there are so many great classes to attend you may just stubble across something different that was equally as good. We suggest you go with the flow!
Food and Drink
We have two food stalls this year as well as the inside café offering teas, coffee and cakes, and a Kombucha stall. There will be plenty of delicious healthy vegetarian/vegan refreshments available.
Please note that this is an alcohol free festival.
Help on the day
We will have a number of volunteers about helping, but if you have any questions or need some help with anything please do come to registration at a quiet moment and we will be happy to help.
Children’s Classes
If you have a children’s ticket please let us know if you won’t be attending as they have nearly sold out. The children’s classes are in the morning at 10am and 11.20am. There is another class suitable for children to join in with Tiffany at 12.55pm but this is not a specific children’s class. There are a few talks throughout the day that will be of interest to parents/carers so look out for these as well.
What to wear and bring
We had scheduled sunshine this year and we are still hopeful, however please do dress appropriately. Some classes are in outside marquees so you might want to bring a jumper.
Mats are provided for all classes but you are welcome to bring yours and place on top if you wish.
These are the things we suggest you bring:
· QR Code for ticket
· Jumper/sweatshirt for potential colder weather outside
· Water bottle
How do I get to St Georges Church?
Number 1 or number 7 bus travels through St James Street and then stops along Eastern Road. The Royal Sussex County Hospital is probably the nearest stop. Parking nearby is quite challenging so do leave plenty of time if you do need to come in by car.
Finally if you are concerned about the weather most of the classes are indoors, and there is plenty of seating upstairs that we can open up if it is still forecast to be rainy/windy. The festival will remain on, however if we have a full storm we may have to cancel some of the outside marquee classes, but only if the weather is really bad. So let’s all think positive and maybe we’ll get some sunshine!
We look forward to seeing you all very soon.
